Open a new Chrome window and click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and select Settings > Search > Manage search engines. As you mention, Google Chrome should be listed as your default browser under the Default Browser menu. The first port of call is to investigate Chrome’s Settings. While Bing is the default search engine for Windows browsers (either Internet Explorer or Edge), it’s a real pain if it’s cropping up within Chrome, which is designed to take advantage of Google’s considerable search power. I’ve checked my settings and my preferred search engine is set to Google ,but it still opens in Bing. Can you advise how I can get rid of Bing? – Bob, Kent Since Windows installed an update, if I try to search using Google on Google Chrome it automatically goes into Bing.
